Clover With a Q is a multi-media review site operated by your's truly, Clover! This blog currently serves as a ground to develop my writing and critical thinking skills as an enthusiast for the arts and to introduce others to new, unique experiences. While my focus at the moment is on covering games featured in itch.io's Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality attention will be given to other media from time to time.
About me
I am just a little clover making their way through the world. Music is my one passion above all else but other stuff is cool, too. Figuring myself out a bit but for now, my pronouns are whichever you perceive me as so go crazy. Currently married to the most amazing man on earth. Been writing in many places for many years but just now had the idea to consolidate it all under a personal blog. Previously wrote a few blogs pertaining to Bandcamp by the names of Bandcamp Grab Bag and Best of Bandcamp Free which are still findable on Google if you're hankering for years old writing.
What's the deal with the "Technical Issues" section?
I'm not a fan of treating the individual aspects of the gaming experience as separate things. I'd much rather treat the entire experience as a singular piece much like people do with novels or a film, it drives me crazy to see reviewers act as though "gameplay" and "story" and "graphics" are all somehow separate entities to a title. It feels very reductive to conceptualizing video games as art. Tangent aside, this means that I do not consider technical issues with video games be it glitches, sequence breaks, graphical errors, or anything else unintended that happens as a factor in my feelings on a title. However, I do know that these things matter deeply to many people thus at the end of all my game-related reviews a small section of the technical goofs that I came across in my playthrough will be provided. Have fun with them.
